Access permission to your contacts

We understand you might have some questions, so we want to explain it in detail.

When we ask for access to your contacts, it's so you can use ēllu to its full potential:

The app scans your phonebook to detect which of your existing contacts are already on ēllu and display them in your contact list. This sync only happens while you're actively using the app, never in the background.

At no point do we store your contacts' phone numbers in our servers, or track or sell your data to third parties. Your phonebook stays on your phone.

This permission is necessary for the app to function. Remember you can edit it at any time from your phone's settings.

You can also set it up so that only contacts in your address book can contact you. You can read more in this article.
