What are low battery alerts?

They let you know when the phone or ēllu Band of someone in your Circle drops below 20% battery, so you can reach out before they lose connection.

How do I turn them on or off?

Open the member’s profile from the Members list or from the Map and tap the Low battery alerts card. There are two separate toggles: one for the phone and one for the Band. Both are on by default, and you can turn off either one or both. Alerts are set per member. These are the steps:

  • Go to Maps

  • Go to the Members tab 👥

  • Select the contact for whom you want to change the alert.

  • Select the type of alert you want to enable or disable.

When do I get the alert?

When the battery reaches 20% or less. You get one alert per drop: it won’t repeat until the device has charged back to at least 25% and drops again.

How does it work with the Band?

To get Band alerts, the Band needs to be connected to that person’s phone. If it isn’t connected, we can’t know its battery level and no alert will be sent. If the person doesn’t have a Band, the Band option appears disabled.

I can’t turn on alerts for someone

If that person has blocked you, you can’t turn on their battery alerts.
