What is Aware for?
You will never walk alone again. Aware makes it easy for our users to be able to accompany or be accompanied virtually, by one or more of their contacts, when they are walking through a lonely place, a new or unknown route, or simply perceive a certain insecurity on that route and want to feel accompanied until they reach your destiny.
Each contact that receives an Aware will see on a map the starting point and the destination of the trip established by the user who sent the Aware notification.
On the Aware map, there is a drop-down panel that includes:
Status: active or inactive for the person sending the Aware. Its types are the following:
Grey with blurred avatar
→ The person has accepted Aware but has not yet sent their first location.Yellow (inactive)
→ The person is not sharing their location at that moment.Green (active)
→ The person is sharing their location correctly.
→ Exception: Green with an exclamation mark: this indicates that the location of the person sending the Aware is enabled, but the location is not accurate. On the map, a halo appears around the avatar (the larger it is, the lower the accuracy).
Companions: the number of people who have joined the Aware as companions or spectators.
Trip details: origin and destination addresses, providing full visibility of the route.
Progress bar: visually shows how much % of the route has been completed and how much remains to reach the destination.
How to activate Aware
To activate Aware, enter the chat of the person or group you want to accompany you.
Select the icon with the ➕ at the bottom inside the chat writing box.
A menu will be displayed where you will find 8 function icons.
Select the orange icon with a lighthouse labeled Aware.
Enter the address or place where you want to go.
Confirm the destination to activate the feature.
To ensure your location is shared correctly, remember to check that you have a GPS signal and that it is enabled on your device.
The person who receives the Aware invitation will feel four intermittent vibrations on their ēllu Band, and its LED will remain green for five seconds, so that, even if their phone is muted, the recipient will always be aware of all important notifications in time.
